Bargain Quest is a game of adventure and capitalism for 2-6 players. You and your friends will take on the role of shopkeepers in an RPG town plagued by monsters. You must draft item cards to stock your shelves and arrange your displays to attract the wealthiest heroes to your shop.
After that, the heroes will face off against monstrous threats. If they succeed, fantastic! If they get eaten alive, well, at least nobody will ask for a refund.
Do you have what it takes to be the best shop in town?

"Bargain Quest is a deceptively cynical game wrapped up in a beautiful, cutesy art-style. You play a shopkeeper who is selling goods to heroes fighting monsters. During each round, players draft a handful of item cards, select one to put in their display window, and then attempt to lure heroes into their shop. (Also, as a side note, the game comes with several adorable shop-front boards with various different designs that are each unique and eye-catching.) The ultimate end-goal of the game is to earn as many glory points and as much money as possible. Each glory token and every 10 money equals to one point, so both are viable things to collect. Glory is earned when heroes equipped with your items survive fighting the monster and/or when they manage to do damage to the monster; however, money is simply earned by selling as many items as you can to the hero who enters your shop. So, live or die, your heroes can help you win big. Do you try to equip your heroes with what they need to survive, running the risk of not getting all their money? Or do you load them up with as much of your junk as possible? There are a bunch of other strategies aside from these, so don’t worry about the game being too binary. There are also several micro-expansions and the larger, Black Market expansion that add a lot of fun new cards to the mix. The game is well-made, fun and very tongue-in-cheek with its humor.
Who is this for? Anyone who enjoys a clever drafting game with some unique board upgrade selection and a market element. Also, if you enjoy a satirical romp with great art, then I highly recommend this game."
