Famous authors such as William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, and Emily Bronte all utilized the meaning of flowers in their writings, and now you can experience the language of flowers in this newest wallet game from Wingspan designer Elizabeth Hargrave, artist Beth Sobel, and Button Shy Games.

"So, some of you already know that I played this game with my mom for Mother's Day, and blogged about it. It is now one of my picks because it is so much fun! The base game comes with 18 cards with different flowers that have different scoring conditions and can be played with 2-4 players. In the game, you shuffle the deck and then first player takes two cards and looks at them. Then they decide which card to offer to the player next to them face up and which to offer face down. The player next to to the player whose turn it is, then chooses one of the two offered cards to add to their floral arrangement, though they are not allowed to look at the face down card until they have picked it. This adds a bit of a bluffing element to the game. Cards that are face up are considered part of the bouquet and those that are face down are considered part of the keepsakes (this is strictly for scoring purposes). A round lasts until players each have four cards in their arrangement. Once this happens, scoring for the round begins. Scoring is pretty straightforward, and the real charm of the game is in the different abilities or scoring conditions of different flowers. Also, the art is really gorgeous. My mom and I had a blast, and plan to play again soon.

Who is this for? Anyone who loves flowers and wants a light, playful game with some elements of bluffing and tableau building. The game plays in 20-30 minutes, and there is already a solo expansion available here

Who is this not for? If you're not super into the theme, then maybe it's a pass, but honestly it's a fun game that I will be busting out alongside other staples like Sushi Go Party for a while to come."
